Hurricane season is officially here! Scientists are on record as stating that this is likely to be a more active hurricane season than ever. In fact, we already experienced an early tropical depression this month, which caused significant flooding throughout District Six. If that much flooding could occur due to a minor tropical depression, a full-blown hurricane could cause severe damage with flooding and wind. That is why it is so crucial that residents prepare for hurricane season by buying supplies, readying their home, finding their evacuation route, and locating a shelter near them. You can find all that information by going to Broward.org/Hurricane.
